Executive Director David joins the team at the Sage Gateshead for his Clore Secondment
Actorsworkshop is delighted to announce that David Wilson, Actorsworkshop's Executive Director will join the team at the Sage Gateshead for his secondment lasting 3 months. David, co-founder of Actorsworkshop, left his previous full-time post as Deputy Director at National Dance Company Wales (NDCWales) last September as he was successful in his application to become the 2011/12 Arts Council of Wales Fellow on the Clore Leadership Programme.
David stepped down from NDCWales to follow the course full-time. As part of his programme he will become a trained mentor and Executive coach studying with Deb Barnard at Relational Dynamics in Lancaster and undertake a 3-month secondment at the Sage Gateshead. Working closely with General Director Anthony Sargent, David will be pushing forward a new digital initiative for the international home for music and musical discovery.
The Clore Leadership Programme, founded by Dame Vivien Duffield, is now in its eighth year, the Programme has received international acclaim as one of the foremost providers of leadership development for the cultural sector. David joined 19 other applicants from the UK and Ireland, plus 5 more international Fellows.
David said, "Its a wonderful opportunity to focus on leadership development and work with a cross-section of highly experienced colleagues on the programme. I've thoroughly enjoyed the mix of complex learning objectives, challenge and meeting expert guest speakers within the programme. I'm delighted to join the team at the Sage Gateshead and look forward to working on their newest digital initiative."
